Essential Oil Blends
Healing Waves Central harnesses the healing power of plants to formulate essential oil blends for a healing and transformative experience. Each therapeutic grade essential oil is intentionally selected for its healing and protective properties. Each roll-on bottle comes in 10 ml at a 2.5% dilution in carrier oil making it generally safe to apply topically. Always perform a patch test when using for the first time to test for sensitivity and allergy. We currently do not use any coconut oils due to its comedogenicity (clogs pores) or tea-tree oils due to its toxicity to pets (we have a cat also) or nut oils due to common allergies (unless requested or formulated with intention). Essential oils are for adult use and not for children under 7 years old. Use sparingly and with caution if applying on children as they have greater sensitivity. Essential oils are extremely potent.
We are mindful of our epileptic population (my daughter included) and some plants do have natural properties that contain thujone, camphor, 1,8-cineole, or pinocamphone that have very mild epilepsy risks in some individuals. The compounds will be marked with an asterisk*. These compounds are mostly found in eucalyptus, rosemary, sage, hyssop, fennel, penny royal, camphor, wormwood, and spike lavender. Avoid using if at risk for severe epilepsy. My daughter has not had any issues with our essential oil blends and they have helped her relax.
